Torbay & things to do
Originally a Victorian resort, retaining some fine features from that era, Torquay, along with Paignton and Brixham make up the area known as Torbay or the English Riviera. We have 20 beaches to choose from to suit all tastes from Paignton sands, ideal for families to the peaceful tranquility at the stunningly beautiful Ansteys Cove, to name but a few. Together with the warm climate the English riviera enjoys and the famous Torbay Palm Trees no wonder this is one of Britains most popular tourist destinations. Whether you are here for a short break or longer, summer or out of season, or attending a conference at the nearby Riviera centre, we are sure you will find the Newburgh Guesthouse (built c1861) is the perfect base from which to explore the Torbay area or further afield to enjoy the delights that Devon has to offer.
Whether it is your first time in TOrquay, or your 100th time, we are sure you will find it an enjoyable experience !
